  • 8 cups of flour
  • 3 teaspoonful of butter
  • 1/2 litres of vegetable oil
  •  Salt (to taste)
  • 1 bulb of onion
  • 1 litre of water
  • 3 bulbs of onions
  • 500g of meat
  • 2 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 2 tuber of a big potato
  • Baking powder (little quantity)

Production Procedure


  1. Chop the meat into piece, peel and slice the onion, pepper, potato and tomatoes into a pot. cook for about 10 - 15 minutes to tender.
  2. Mix the baking powder, flour, and salt together. Add butter and seasoning and mix very well. Add little water and mix thoroughly.
  3. Cut the pastry with a knife. Then put 2 teaspoonfuls of the sauce (i.e. the mixture of meat, onion, tomatoes, potatoes, pepper, seasoning and salt that you prepared in stage 1).
  4. Fold in any shape of your choice and dress it with your fork. Spread on an oiled metal tray and bake for 20 - 30 minutes.

Production of Pan-Cake

Ingredients

  • 125g of flour
  • 250ml of milk
  • 1 egg
  • Sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • A little vegetable oil for frying

Production Procedures


  1. Mix the flour and salt in a bowl, make a well in the centre of the flour and break a fresh egg into the flour. Add little cold milk and stir, add more milk and stir until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  2. Beat the mixture well with a wooden spoon till smoothly mixed, cover and leave in cool place for about 25 minutes.
  3. Using smooth flat pan, heat pan with oil and clean with a cloth. Return pan to fire, add little oil and pour in with spoon enough mixture to cover pan bottom thinly and shake pan to and fro to level. When cake has set, fry and shake pan gently and loose edges with a broad-bladed knife.
  4. Raise to see underneath, when it is brown turn and fry the other side. Fry quickly to avoid being tough. Turn unto sugared paper and sprinkle top with sugar. Heat pan, add little oil, turn off and continue the frying process. Serve while hot.

Production of Queen Cake (Rich Cake)

Ingredients

  • 113g of flour
  • 58 - 85g of margarine
  • 56g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoonful baking powder
  • 1 big egg
  • 1 cold milk
  • Flavor (which may be vanilla essence)

Production Procedure


  1. Mix fat (margarine) and sugar to become creamy. Break the egg and beat very well to get in much air on a plate.
  2. Mix flour and baking powder. Add cold milk to a slight dropping consistency. Add flavour if desired in a bowl.
  3. Add fat sugar to flour mixture, don't beat hard as flour is now added.
  4. Grease tins put the mixture into tins half level and bake in a moderate oven for 15 - 20 minutes.
